Our clients had a tiny, dated bathroom that was dark and lacked storage. They wanted a bright, modern bath that would look appropriate in their Elkins Park 1920's center hall colonial. We moved the vanity to the adjacent dressing room and used a vintage stained glass window to connect the rooms with light and color. In the 'wet room' we created a custom glass shower enclosure with shelves and a vintage style shower head. A green tile detail was chosen to match the stained glass and small hex tiles create a vintage style floor. New sconces and overhead LED lights were used to add additional light. We also covered the windows with privacy film to avoid the use of blinds or curtains. Floating shelves near the toilet were built from wall studs we removed during the renovation.
