Dayna Evans is the head baker and co-owner of Downtime Bakery in Mt. Airy Philadelphia. A former writer, she spent the past seven years learning the ins and outs of baking through a grassroots initiative she started in New York called Permanent Bake Sale, a bread scholarship at King Arthur Flour's bread school, and an apprenticeship at Machine Shop in South Philly. In the summer of 2024, along with partner Sam she'll be opening a brick-and-mortar location of Downtime Bakery at 6624 Germantown Ave in Mt. Airy.
